How Much Does Botox Cost in Toronto? A Physician Explains the Numbers
Toronto clinics quote Botox in three different ways, which is why nobody can compare prices. Here is how to read them, and what you should actually expect to pay.

Ask five Toronto clinics what Botox costs and you will get five answers that cannot be compared: $9 a unit, $12 a unit, $299 for three areas, a membership with a monthly fee, and a "starting from" price that starts from a dose nobody receives. The confusion is not accidental. Here is how to see through it.
The three pricing models
Per unit. You pay for the number of units injected. In Toronto this ranges from roughly $9 to $16 per unit depending on the clinic and who is injecting. This is the most transparent model, provided the clinic tells you the number of units before treatment and does not pad the dose.
Per area. A flat fee for "forehead", "frown lines" or "crow's feet", typically $200 to $450 per area in the city, often discounted for three areas together. Simple to advertise, but it rewards the clinic for using as few units as possible, and it makes a light, short-lasting result more likely.
Membership or subscription. A monthly fee that banks toward treatment. It locks you into a clinic and a schedule, which is the opposite of treating according to need. Avoid it.
How many units you actually need
The number is set by your muscles, not by a menu. Typical starting ranges for a first treatment are 15 to 25 units for the frown lines, 10 to 20 for the forehead, and 12 to 24 for crow's feet across both sides. A conservative first treatment of the upper face therefore uses 30 to 50 units; a full upper face with strong muscles may use 50 to 65. Men and very expressive patients sit at the top of the range. Lighter, more natural results use fewer units and wear off sooner.
What that means in dollars
| Treatment | Units | At $10 / unit (this clinic) | Typical Toronto range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Frown lines only | 15 to 25 | $150 to $250 | $180 to $400 |
| Frown + forehead | 25 to 45 | $250 to $450 | $300 to $700 |
| Full upper face (3 areas) | 40 to 65 | $400 to $650 | $450 to $1,000 |
| Masseter (jaw) | 40 to 60 | $400 to $600 | $500 to $900 |
Toronto ranges are approximate and drawn from publicly advertised prices; they vary by neighbourhood and injector. Repeat treatments every three to four months mean a realistic annual cost of $1,000 to $2,000 for the upper face.
Why the cheapest Botox is rarely the cheapest
A $7 per unit deal is paid for somewhere. Common places are over-diluted product, so that a "unit" is not a full unit; a rushed assessment, so that placement is by template; a nurse injector on commission with a medical director you never meet; and no review appointment, so that an uneven result is yours to live with for three months. Correcting a heavy brow or an asymmetry costs more than the original treatment would have at a physician's price.
What a physician-injected treatment costs
At Dr. Mazzuca's clinic in Markham, Botox is $10 per unit, injected by her personally, with the number of units agreed before treatment and a review at two weeks. There is no per-area fee, minimum, package or membership, and the price is published on the online booking page. Many patients drive up from Toronto because the per-unit price is at or below what the downtown market charges for a delegated treatment. Details are on the Botox for Toronto patients page.
Questions to ask any Toronto clinic
How many units will you use, and what is the price per unit? Who is injecting, and will the prescriber examine me? Is there a review appointment, and is it included? What happens if one side is stronger than the other? A clinic that answers all four clearly is one you can trust with your face, whatever its price.
